Antibodies for IVD Use
Troponin monoclonal antibody #B9085MA06-MA:
- is specific to the N-terminus of human cardiac troponin I (HcTnI).
- recognizes amino acids 24-40 of HcTnI.
- recognizes the free form of HcTnI and the complexed form of HcTnI.
- does not cross react with skeletal troponin, troponin C or troponin T.
Human cardiac Troponin I (HcTnI) is a specific diagnostic marker of acute myocardial infarction. Other troponin subunits are less specific. For example, troponin T is elevated in patients with renal failure, pneumonia, diabetes mellitus or certain systemic illnesses making troponin T a non-specific diagnostic marker.
An antibody recognizing both free HcTnI and complexed HcTnI is ideal since the molecular forms of HcTnI in serum are not precisely defined. HcTnI may be in free form or complexed with other troponin subunits. Cross-reactivity of antibodies with skeletal troponin I is avoided by antibodies recognizing the 31 amino acid residues on the N-terminus of HcTnI that are not present on the skeletal troponin I. The N-terminus of HcTnI is also more resistant to degradation than other portions of the I subunit.
Other monoclonal antibodies and polyclonal antibodies to HcTnI are available. These antibodies may complement antibody #B9085MA06-MA in your assay format, resulting in suitable matched-pair reagents.

Strep A polyclonal antibody B9032RA01-A0 is specific for Streptococcus pyogenes Group A is available from Strategic Diagnostics Inc. This polyclonal antibody is suitable for use in a variety of immunoassay formats including lateral flow devices (LFD) and agglutination assays. The antibody can be used in Point-of Care tests and in automated clinical analyzers.
The antibody is highly specific for Streptococcus Group A organisms. The antibody is tested for cross-reactivity to a large panel of Streptococcus organisms obtained from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other organisms obtained from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC).
There is no cross-reactivity with Streptococcus Groups B, C, F or G, Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenza, or Neisseria subflava.
