Important Information
No additional antisera or affinity purified antibody will be available upon project initiation.
In SDI's experience:
o 13% of 160 mL affinity purification packages yield less than 1 mg of antibody
o 47% of 160 mL affinity purification packages yield between 1 to 6 mgs of antibody
o 40% of 160 mL affinity purification packages yield between 6 to 14 mgs of antibody
A variety of factors can impact antibody yield. In some cases, immunogens with high homology may have lower antibody yield due to immune tolerance.
A 1:10,000 dilution is recommended as a starting point for Western blot. The recommended dilution range is 1:5,000 - 1:20,000 based on 1 mg/ml antibody concentration.
For 160 mL AP, the average endpoint titer is 0.92 ng/mL (on protein fragment, variable depending upon user format)
For 160 mL antisera, the average titer is 178,191 (on protein fragment, variable depending upon user format).
All work is fee-for-service.
